Abstracts, too....

Dear MR,

Congratulations on the premier issue of your journal.  It's a real pleasure to read, and to finally have access to Cuban medical research online and in English. 

I was wondering, however, if you wouldn't consider carrying abstracts of related articles not printed in their entirety.  That would help readers get a sense of the breadth of work the Cubans are doing on a given topic.

I visited Cuba in 1986 and 1994, and am always looking for ways to keep in touch.  Thanks for offering me just that!

Dear Dr. Walker,

Thank you for your letter and words of encouragement.  Indeed we have been considering publishing abstracts for some time.  Our recent decision to adopt a "theme format" for each issue will greatly facilitate their inclusion in the journal.  So, look for abstracts beginning with the fall issue!
