Medical Education Cooperation with Cuba (MEDICC), is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Atlanta, Georgia and Oakland, California working to enhance cooperation among the US, Cuban, and global health communities aimed at better health outcomes. MEDICC supports education and development of human resources in health committed to equitable access and quality care, providing the Cuban experience to inform global debate, practice, policies and cooperation in health.

MEDICC is the distributor of ¡Salud! and publisher of MEDICC Review and Cuba Health Reports. MEDICC maintains and is responsible for the content on their websites (see below). MEDICC is strongly committed to privacy and to protecting personal information. This privacy policy is designed to explain how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

This policy applies only to information gathered by MEDICC through and and its associated pages--MEDICC Review and Cuba Health Reports. This policy does not apply to personal information provided to MEDICC through means other than these websites.

If you establish a personal profile on our site to gain access to content or services, request email notification regarding online content (such as MEDICC Review or Cuba Health Reports tables of contents) or respond to customer surveys, we will request information and preferences to carry out your request.

This includes name, address (postal and electronic), and telephone number, and may include professional and demographic information. If you request paid content, including subscriptions, we also request payment information such as credit card type, number and expiration date.

In a limited manner, MEDICC may share your contact information, but no other personal information, with selected organizations for purposes fully consistent with MEDICC's mission.

When you visit our websites, we also collect some basic information that does not identify individual users. We use this information to determine our users' demographics and interests, so that we can better understand and serve our users.

Information Collected Automatically

Tracking Gifs
These are small graphics which allow us to measure site traffic and usage. Personally identifying information is not collected.

User-provided information is used by MEDICC to process, fulfill, and deliver requests for content and services. Unless you indicate otherwise, we may send you occasional information about our publications and programs.

Compliance with Legal Proceedings
If required to do so by law, MEDICC may provide individual identifying information to third parties. Furthermore, MEDICC may provide such information if we believe in good faith that providing so will protect our rights and property; protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our websites; or protect the personal safety or property of our users.

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information collected by MEDICC online. All user credit card information is securely communicated using secure socket layer (SSL) software, which encrypts your credit card and personal information and is the industry standard for secure commerce transactions.

MEDICC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content on any linked sites appearing on our websites.

The content on all MEDICC websites is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or store information from children under 13.
